Hardware Platform Product Manager (AI)

Location: Santa Clara, California; onsite role.

What you will do

• Serve as the subject matter expert for Nexthop hardware platforms and support internal and external stakeholders with product and solution expertise.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineering, customer engineering, marketing, and account management to drive go-to-market execution and customer adoption.
• Develop product collateral, communicate roadmaps to customer executives and engineering and operations teams, and identify customer problems for near-term resolution or roadmap inclusion.
• Identify and prioritize feature requirements while balancing stakeholder needs, and engage technology partners on product planning and issue resolution.
• Identify portfolio risks at the intersection of business and engineering, develop mitigation strategies, and analyze competing systems and solutions.
• Support product launches, industry events, and conferences while aligning messaging and positioning with brand objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience as a product manager or technical marketing engineer across networking technologies, including switching, routing hardware systems, silicon, optics, and interconnects.
• Significant experience with network architectures for hyperscaler, cloud, HPC, and AI/ML environments, including related technology adjacencies.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, leading-edge environment while bringing domain expertise and improving team productivity.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, learning aptitude, customer empathy, and ability to work collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or MBA.
• 5–7 years of experience as a hardware engineer.
