Forward Deployed Software Engineer, New Grad - Intel, US Government (Data Platforms)

Location: Washington, D.C.; on-site work from a hirify.global office. Willingness to travel to client sites as needed; 25–50% travel is preferred, with requirements varying by team and location.

Salary: $135,000–$145,000 per year, excluding potential sign-on bonuses, benefits, restricted stock units, and other incentives.

What you will do

• Work directly with customers to understand complex operational problems and design practical data-driven solutions.
• Own end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects in small teams with minimal supervision.
• Discuss software architecture and collaborate with engineers, product teams, and deployment strategists.
• Work with massive-scale data, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, and front-end frameworks.
• Build custom web applications and other technical tools for customer use cases.
• Engage with customer executives and help establish technical and strategic direction.

Requirements

• Active Full Scope Poly-level US security clearance.
• Engineering background, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, C++, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
• Ability to learn continuously, work independently, and make decisions with minimal direction.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in an evolving environment.
• Interest in using large-scale data to solve valuable business problems.
