Senior IT Operations Specialist

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; on-site

Salary: CAD 75,000–110,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the selection, deployment, lifecycle management, and support of enterprise hardware and software.
• Monitor, optimize, and scale on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure, including production networks, servers, clusters, and remote datacenters.
• Design preventative maintenance, system health, business continuity, and disaster recovery frameworks.
• Lead system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure transformation initiatives with minimal disruption.
• Define IT policies, procedures, documentation, cybersecurity practices, and security awareness programs.
• Manage IT assets, end-user device deployment, identity and access processes, vendors, contracts, and service delivery.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or operations.
• Experience managing enterprise on-premises and cloud/hybrid environments and leading IT projects.
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux, Ubuntu, AWS, Azure, Office 365, HPC, MySQL, GSuite, Active Directory, Veeam, and Microsoft Intune.
• Knowledge of VPNs, switching, load balancing, remote management, network security, virtual infrastructure, servers, VDIs, VMs, and production clusters.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Ability to work extended hours or shifts when required; relevant IT education or equivalent experience is required.

• CCNA or CCNP certification and relevant industry memberships.
