Staff Software Engineer - Machine Learning (Computer Vision)

What you will do

• Shape the computer vision strategy across the mapping stack, from hardware and edge computation to data insights.
• Develop production-grade machine learning solutions trained on large standardized datasets.
• Balance state-of-the-art methods with practical cost and performance requirements.
• Integrate ML solutions into production systems running on edge devices and large offline compute clusters.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in building, training, deploying, and productionizing ML solutions.
• Hands-on experience with image processing and computer vision, including object detection, classification, tracking, localization, 3D reconstruction, and vector embeddings.
• Experience with general machine learning and data mining methods, including clustering, prediction, unsupervised methods, ensemble methods, and graph optimization.
• Experience with monocular or stereo 3D reconstruction pipelines.
• Strong programming, applied mathematics, and software engineering fundamentals, including linear algebra, statistics, and multivariate optimization.

Nice to have

• PhD in computer vision or a related field.
• Knowledge of distributed compute systems such as Hadoop or Spark.
• Experience with ML frameworks including PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenVINO, or ONNX.
