Cybersecurity Threat Detection Researcher

What you will do

• Architect and develop advanced threat detection capabilities for a next-generation security operations platform.
• Research emerging threats, adversary tactics, evasion techniques, and sophisticated attack methods.
• Design and implement end-to-end detection coverage across security logs, malware, network traffic, web pages, and vulnerability exploitation.
• Build research systems for threat analysis, APT simulation, cyber threat intelligence, and security knowledge graphs.
• Partner with data scientists on agentic AI workflows, security-focused models, and training datasets.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building large-scale threat analysis and detection solutions, or a Ph.D. in Computer Science, System or Network Security, or a related technical field.
• Deep expertise in threat hunting, malware analysis and sandboxing, vulnerability analysis, reverse engineering, offensive security, or penetration testing.
• Strong knowledge of modern attacks, malware behavior, countermeasures, the MITRE ATT&CK framework, and cyber kill chains/TTPs.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Excellent security research, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• System programming experience with C, C++, Rust, or Go.
• CTF participation, open-source security contributions, CVE disclosures, attack campaign research, technical blogs, or security publications.
• Experience as a SOC analyst, detection engineer, red team or blue team member, or security researcher in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of operating system internals, system APIs, EDR/XDR, SOC platforms, firewalls, and IDS/IPS.
• Experience applying machine learning models, LLMs, or agentic AI to security research and detection workflows.
