Security Engineer

Location: Barcelona, Spain or Cork, Ireland; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Define and maintain security standards for AKS, GKE, Azure, containers, and artifact repositories.
• Apply CIS benchmark hardening, manage Linux patching, and coordinate vulnerability remediation across environments.
• Maintain Microsoft Sentinel ingestion, analytics rules, correlation rules, workbooks, and SOAR playbooks.
• Investigate alerts, triage incidents, and support SOC activities.
• Integrate SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, and secrets detection into GitLab CI/CD.
• Automate security operations with Bash and Ansible and review Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes infrastructure-as-code.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering, DevSecOps, or an equivalent role.
• Strong command-line Linux administration skills and practical experience with Azure or GCP.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewall rules, and VPN concepts.
• Proficiency with Bash and hands-on experience with Ansible and/or Terraform.
• Experience with vulnerability management, cloud security tools, Docker, Kubernetes, and container image scanning.
• Business-fluent English for written and verbal collaboration.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Sentinel administration, KQL, and SIEM experience.
• Azure security certifications such as AZ-500.
• RHEL subscription management, Red Hat Insights, and Ansible patch automation.
• Experience with ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Benchmarks in a live environment.
