Senior AI Security Engineer

Location: Fully virtual; primary location is Palo Alto, with other U.S. locations listed.

Salary: $163,200–$220,800 per year in Palo Alto, New York, and San Francisco; $147,050–$198,950 per year in Austin, Boston, Boulder, Century City, Delaware, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, San Diego, Seattle, Washington, D.C., and other locations.

What you will do

• Design secure-by-default patterns for LLM integrations, agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, and MCP server deployments.
• Lead security architecture reviews for MCP integrations, including trust boundaries, prompt injection surfaces, tool authorization, and server code.
• Build AI threat modeling and red-teaming capabilities covering prompt injection, jailbreaking, data exfiltration, model inversion, and AI supply-chain attacks.
• Engineer secure AI data pipelines with data loss prevention, confidentiality boundaries, and least-privilege access.
• Evaluate AI vendor integrations with IT, Information Security, and practice group leaders.
• Develop AI security standards, coding guardrails, output validation, hallucination detection, and audit logging for attorney workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in application security, cloud security, or AI/ML engineering, including at least 2 years focused on AI system security.
• Hands-on experience with MCP server architecture, tool definitions, code auditing, and secure enterprise deployment patterns.
• Experience with AI threat modeling, OWASP LLM Top 10, adversarial machine learning, and production mitigations.
• Strong cloud security knowledge across AWS, Azure, or GCP, including API gateways, secrets management, network isolation, and identity-aware access controls.
• Experience securing agentic AI systems through guardrails, human-in-the-loop controls, and scoped permissions.

Nice to have

• Law firm experience.
• OSCP, GREM, Azure Security Engineer, or similar certification.
• Strong GitHub profile, original research, or CTF achievements.
