ML Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in New York City, 5 days per week; relocation support is available for candidates not already based in NYC.

Salary: $150K–$350K per year plus equity.

What you will do

• Partner with the CTO to turn AI research and experiments into production-grade features.
• Investigate and prototype new AI capabilities and assess their feasibility for deployment.
• Build observability and evaluation infrastructure for monitoring production models and measuring performance.
• Own AI features end to end, from design and experimentation through deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with other teams to bring AI capabilities into production.

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering experience, including recent work on advanced ML and AI systems.
• Experience owning production AI features from experimentation through live infrastructure maintenance.
• Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, HuggingFace, or DSPy.
• Experience operating in an early-stage startup with high ownership and execution in ambiguous environments.
• Strong expertise in some or all of TypeScript, Python, DSPy, vLLM, TensorRT, Temporal, and Kubernetes.
• Strong communication skills and an ML research background relevant to areas such as CUA, agentic reasoning, visual grounding, VLMs, or fine-tuning.

• Experience with CUA, agentic reasoning, visual grounding, vision-language models, or model fine-tuning.
