What you will do

• Lead production infrastructure, cloud operations, site reliability, infrastructure automation, security operations, and corporate IT.
• Own the AWS cloud platform strategy, Kubernetes environment, networking, IAM, cloud security, infrastructure lifecycle, and cost optimization.
• Drive observability, monitoring, alerting, SLOs, disaster recovery, capacity planning, incident management, and production reliability.
• Improve CI/CD platforms, developer tooling, self-service capabilities, automation, and engineering productivity.
• Lead security reviews, penetration testing, incident response, access controls, infrastructure inventory, and data governance initiatives.
• Manage a multidisciplinary organization of seven direct reports and oversee corporate IT, vendors, licensing, procurement, and internal technology services.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud operations, platform engineering, site reliability, or technical operations.
• 5+ years of engineering management experience leading technical teams.
• Experience operating large-scale production environments on AWS and guiding cloud architecture decisions.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes, containerized infrastructure, Terraform and/or Pulumi, Infrastructure as Code, and modern CI/CD platforms.
• Experience with observability, incident response, disaster recovery, networking, IAM, cloud security, distributed systems, enterprise IT, and cloud cost optimization.
• Professional fluency in English is required for regular communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders in Canada and internationally.

Nice to have

• Experience with consumer internet or streaming platforms at scale.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Cloudflare, Route53, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust networking, modern endpoint management, and enterprise security practices.
• Experience managing globally distributed engineering teams and supporting compliance, privacy, or security initiatives.
