Senior ML Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States, with listed locations in Centennial, Colorado and Dania Beach, Florida.

Salary: $180,000–$190,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design and maintain end-to-end ML training, evaluation, and deployment pipelines.
• Fine-tune and align large language models using LoRA, QLoRA, PEFT, DPO, PPO, and GRPO.
• Host, serve, and optimize LLMs in production with frameworks such as vLLM, TGI, Triton, and ONNX Runtime.
• Build embedding, vector search, RAG, semantic search, and Model Context Protocol integrations for AI agents.
• Develop data-quality, model-evaluation, benchmarking, A/B testing, and regression-tracking frameworks.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate observable, versioned ML services into product features through FastAPI.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or statistics.
• 3–8+ years of hands-on ML engineering experience with a strong production track record.
• Strong knowledge of neural networks, transformers, attention mechanisms, optimization, regularization, and model evaluation.
• Production experience with LLM fine-tuning, Hugging Face Transformers, TRL or Axolotl, RLHF, PPO, GRPO, model quantization, batching, and throughput optimization.
• Experience with LLM serving, inference providers, embedding models, vector search infrastructure, RAG pipelines, and MCP.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with DeepSpeed, FSDP, or Megatron-LM for distributed training.
• Familiarity with MLflow, Weights & Biases, DVC, or similar MLOps tools.
• Knowledge of synthetic data generation and exposure to multimodal, voice, or speech AI systems.
• Open-source ML contributions or published research and technical writing.
