Staff Engineer - Validation (Embedded SoC)

What you will do

• Lead validation planning, methodologies, test coverage, and regression suites for complex SoC subsystems and product features.
• Execute post-silicon validation, silicon characterization, PVT testing, margin and shmoo analysis, and production test correlation.
• Develop embedded firmware, validation software, automation frameworks, reusable test infrastructure, and data analysis tools.
• Lead root-cause analysis for silicon issues, customer escalations, production issues, and RMA investigations.
• Improve validation hardware, laboratory infrastructure, and automated validation environments.
• Collaborate with architecture, design, verification, firmware, product engineering, applications engineering, and ATE teams while mentoring validation engineers.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in post-silicon validation, silicon bring-up, embedded firmware, or SoC development.
• Strong experience validating ARM-based MCU or SoC devices, including digital, analog, power management, memory, peripheral interfaces, and mixed-signal subsystems.
• Experience developing embedded C/C++ firmware and validation automation with Python, Tcl, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, current measurement equipment, environmental chambers, and automated laboratory instrumentation.
• Experience with production test correlation, yield improvement, statistical data analysis, reusable validation frameworks, FPGA platforms, Linux, Git, and hardware-assisted debug.

Nice to have

• Experience with ultra-low-power SoCs, AI-enabled edge devices, or wireless embedded systems.
• Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy, Bluetooth Classic, and other wireless technologies.
