Senior Software Engineer, Backend

Location: Taipei office, hybrid with 2–3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Design and implement applications and features that provide advertisers and publishers with actionable insights and data services.
• Develop scalable, high-performance, and robust software for the platform and product suite.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to define and deliver solutions aligned with business goals.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Address technical challenges using modern technologies and creative approaches.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience with a record of delivering high-quality implementations.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Strong English communication and collaboration skills are required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Familiarity with or willingness to work with macOS or Windows and Google Workspace.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Terraform, or EMR.
• Knowledge of programmatic advertising, ad serving platforms, and auction-based systems.
• Experience with Scala, Spark, Airflow, Kafka, or real-time data systems.
• Experience with Generative AI technologies, including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, or agentic workflows.
