Staff Product Designer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; work arrangement: on-site

Compensation: $240K–$260K base salary, plus bonus and equity

What you will do

• Own product experiences across significant surface areas, translating complex enterprise needs into scalable conversational and agentic interfaces.
• Make strategy-level design decisions in partnership with design, engineering, and customer stakeholders.
• Lead research with enterprise customers and use insights to influence product strategy and prioritization.
• Contribute to the design system and establish quality standards with design and engineering leaders.
• Mentor designers, participate in hiring, and help launch large, novel initiatives.
• Present evidence for design decisions and build cross-functional relationships across GTM, engineering, and customer organizations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product design experience, including successful zero-to-one products across multiple industries.
• Experience designing novel interaction experiences that scale across use cases, personas, and customer lifecycles.
• Strong product design skills spanning user research, quantitative insights, complex UX systems, visual design, and product differentiation.
• Experience mentoring designers in craft, strategy, and execution.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with cross-functional partners and leadership.
• Optimistic, positive approach to working under pressure.

Nice to have

• Experience designing AI-native products where models, agents, or generative UX are core to the product.
• Fluency with AI-assisted design, prototyping, and research synthesis workflows.
• Technical experience with design engineering, high-fidelity prototyping in code, or frontend development such as React.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical stakeholders.
