Principal Fullstack Engineer (React), Mexico City

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of user experiences and performant web applications for investment managers consuming buy-side research content.
• Manage a local team of predominantly frontend engineers and coordinate delivery with US-based project leads, clients, and other contributors.
• Act as a hands-on engineer and architect across small initiatives and complex systems, participating actively in project delivery.
• Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and advise on technical solutions and business needs.
• Support business development through client pitches, solution presentations, engagement planning, and industry networking.
• Help develop management practices, career planning, and professional growth across the engineering practice.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience designing and building complex commercial-grade software applications.
• 5+ years of experience leading Agile teams, with proven leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript and React, plus experience with a cloud platform and contemporary software development practices such as continuous delivery.
• Strong understanding of testing, quality, continuous integration, source control, and code reviews.
• Experience managing project teams and working with clients in finance, consulting, or startup environments.
• Strong written and spoken English and excellent communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial products and tools such as Bloomberg, Symphony, Excel, Salesforce, or Databricks.
• Capital markets experience, especially in buy-side investment management.
• Experience with Angular or Vue, Terraform, AWS, C#/.NET with ASP.NET Core, SQL, and relational databases.
