Engineer III – Java (Fullstack)

Location: Remote in Mexico; Mexican citizens only

What you will do

• Design features, evaluate technical designs, and provide actionable feedback.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements and explain technical solutions to business stakeholders.
• Identify performance issues and optimize scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, business stakeholders, program managers, and product managers.
• Lead design and code reviews while maintaining high standards for code quality, testing, and automation.
• Support cloud-oriented solutions, monitoring, alerting, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience and Engineer III-level experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, with excellent object-oriented programming skills.
• Experience with Kafka or SQS, RESTful architecture, microservices, system design, scaling, and performance testing.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, AWS services, databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL, and cache-based low-latency system design.
• Experience with unit, integration, regression, and load test automation.
• Experience building responsive web applications with React, JavaScript or TypeScript, and CSS, plus familiarity with GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, logging, metrics, New Relic, or Splunk.
