Technical Project Lead (Electrical Engineering)

Location: Shanghai, China; onsite role

What you will do

• Lead product refresh, redesign, feature enhancement, cost-reduction, and performance-improvement projects after mass production.
• Direct board- and system-level hardware design, including schematics, drawings, bills of materials, and PCB layouts.
• Define qualification and hardware validation plans, oversee design verification, and track risk mitigation through development and launch.
• Manage schedules, technical resources, budgets, project documentation, meetings, issues, and status reporting across internal teams and contract manufacturers.
• Support failure analysis, component qualification, performance improvements, design reviews, and lessons-learned activities.
• Coordinate with Quality, Customer Support, Compliance Engineering, and international operations teams to resolve technical issues and maintain regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of project management experience, preferably with contract manufacturers and OEM/JDM projects.
• 4+ years of engineering experience, preferably in consumer electronics product development; electrical engineering experience is preferred.
• Proficiency communicating technical concepts in English with U.S. counterparts.
• Strong troubleshooting, system-level analysis, technical reporting, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Experience creating and executing design validation testing plans, collecting data, and applying statistical analysis methods.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience in a related technical discipline is preferred.
