Manufacturing Associate, NGS TE Production (Biotech)

Location: USA - South San Francisco, CA; onsite laboratory role

Salary: $21–$25 USD per hour, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Manufacture custom oligonucleotide products and gene-based products in a high-throughput laboratory according to established SOPs.
• Operate robotic and traditional laboratory equipment, including bioanalyzers, centrifuges, thermocyclers, spectrometers, HPLCs, and next-generation sequencing equipment.
• Perform molecular biology workflows such as PCR, DNA quantitation and handling, and DNA purification.
• Complete accurate batch records and database documentation, including problems and process deviations.
• Update and write work instructions, troubleshoot deviations, package products, and complete assigned production tasks.
• Support process consistency, continuous improvement, safe work practices, and the daily manufacturing schedule.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and the ability to work independently.
• Good computer skills, including experience with Excel, Word, Jira, Confluence, web-based systems, or similar programs.
• Ability to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials in a controlled laboratory environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and outside regular work hours as needed.
