Manufacturing Associate - Kitting (Biotech)

Location: USA — Portland, OR; work is performed in a controlled laboratory environment in Wilsonville, OR.

What you will do

• Manufacture custom gene-based products, plasmids, and intermediates according to established SOPs.
• Operate laboratory equipment and liquid-handling robots, including Hamilton STAR systems, bioanalyzers, centrifuges, thermocyclers, spectrometers, and Illumina next-generation sequencers.
• Perform PCR, DNA quantitation, purification, cloning, and other molecular and cellular biology processes.
• Complete manufacturing batch records, maintain accurate documentation, and update work instructions.
• Package and organize products for shipping while keeping the daily manufacturing schedule on track.
• Support troubleshooting and process-deviation handling with Leads and Supervisors.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in a high-throughput, fast-paced laboratory or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with laboratory and/or manufacturing operations is highly desirable.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Atlassian applications, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
• Ability to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials, stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and work flexible shifts outside regular hours.
