Nuclear Security (Physical)/Safeguards Compliance Analyst VI

Location: Rockville, Maryland, United States; 4 days onsite per week
Hours: 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday
Travel: 10%

Salary: $140,000–$195,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and implement physical protection and security plans for the construction and operating phases of the Xe-100 plant.
• Support Access Authorization and Fitness for Duty programs for construction-site and facility personnel.
• Create and execute training and qualification programs for security personnel before fuel receipt.
• Administer the Safeguards Information (SGI) program, including clearance and access management.
• Provide technical support for surveillance, intrusion detection, and access control systems.
• Develop defense strategies, support incident response planning, and collaborate with contractors, regulators, and security teams.

Requirements

• Typically 20 years of relevant experience; nuclear experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field may substitute for five years of relevant experience.
• Expert understanding of NRC regulatory requirements for physical protection and SGI management.
• Expert knowledge of surveillance, intrusion detection, and access control hardware and software.
• Advanced experience developing security plans, access control programs, and Fitness for Duty programs.
• Advanced experience in defense strategy development and incident response planning; ability to work independently and mentor junior team members.
