What you will do

• Design, build, and operate complex optical and optomechanical systems for quantum computers.
• Develop systems involving lasers, optics, vacuum, and electronics.
• Integrate optical and optomechanical systems with quantum hardware and processor designs.
• Work across hardware, software, processor design, and other areas required to build a working quantum computer.
• Collaborate closely with the quantum hardware team.

Requirements

• Strong background in optical engineering or optomechanical engineering is desirable.
• Interest in building a quantum computer.
• Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment.
• Applications are considered at all experience levels, including post-bachelor's, master's, PhD, and beyond.
• Ability to work on-site in Pasadena is required.
