Head of Security (AI)

Location: On-site at the Union Square office in New York City, United States

Base salary: $300,000–$375,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own and evolve the security strategy, roadmap, risk posture, and security function as the company scales.
• Lead enterprise security conversations, RFPs, security reviews, and customer trust initiatives.
• Build and mature SOC 2 Type II compliance, with additional frameworks such as ISO 27001 and GDPR.
• Direct application security, cloud security across AWS and GCP, infrastructure hardening, and security tooling.
• Build and lead incident response programs, including tabletop exercises and response activities.
• Own IT operations, including identity and access management, SSO, MDM, endpoint security, onboarding, offboarding, and SaaS security posture.

Requirements

• 8+ years of security experience with progressively increasing scope and ownership of a security program.
• Hands-on expertise in application security, cloud security, infrastructure security, and incident response.
• Direct experience owning SOC 2 Type II and driving compliance programs.
• Experience leading and developing a small team.
• Ability to communicate technical risk to executives, customers, and enterprise security teams.
• Ability to work on-site in New York City is required.

Nice to have

• Experience as a first or early security hire at a high-growth SaaS or B2B startup.
• Experience with ISO 27001, GDPR, or other enterprise security frameworks.
• Experience owning or closely partnering with an IT function.
