Manager, Information Security Operations (Automotive)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and occasional travel.

Annual base salary: $140,000–$170,000, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the information security operations program, SOC, and unified vulnerability management function.
• Manage security monitoring, threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security tool administration.
• Lead cybersecurity incident identification, investigation, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident reviews.
• Oversee SIEM, EDR, cloud security monitoring, threat intelligence, identity protection, and related operational capabilities.
• Coordinate response efforts with technology, legal, compliance, privacy, human resources, business stakeholders, and external security providers.
• Manage, coach, and develop security analysts and engineers while defining priorities, metrics, work plans, and resource allocation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in information security, cybersecurity operations, security engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience operating SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, email security, cloud security, and identity protection platforms.
• Experience leading incident response in complex enterprise environments and managing third-party security providers or managed security services.
• Knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800-61, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, network security, endpoint security, IAM, logging, monitoring, and security architecture.
• Experience with security operations in Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud environments, plus operational metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CISM, GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, CEH, Microsoft Security, AWS Security, or Azure Security certification.
• Knowledge of automotive, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
