Software Engineer (AI Native)

Location: Hybrid role in South Austin, Texas, United States, near Dripping Springs. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable services in a cloud environment.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and service integrations.
• Contribute to architecture decisions with guidance from senior engineers.
• Use AI agents for coding, testing, refactoring, and debugging, and validate generated code for correctness and maintainability.
• Improve system performance, reliability, and observability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience shipping production software.
• Experience building or contributing to cloud-based applications using AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of service-based or microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Docker or similar tools, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.
• Active use of AI coding assistants, with the ability to validate AI-generated outputs and assess code quality, security, and edge cases.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-availability SaaS platforms.
• Familiarity with Kafka or similar messaging systems.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and observability tools such as monitoring, tracing, or alerting.
• Experience integrating AI services or APIs into applications.
