Forward Deployed Engineer (Security)

Location: Tampa, Florida, United States — hybrid, with onsite work at customer facilities and travel required to meet mission requirements.

Salary: $170,000–$200,000 annual base salary plus variable compensation.

What you will do

• Deploy and configure the Data Security Platform across classified and unclassified government environments.
• Integrate the platform with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows authentication, Linux systems, and cloud-native microservices.
• Architect and manage Kubernetes deployments on OpenShift and Rancher, including Helm customization, pod networking, and persistent storage.
• Translate government mission requirements into customer-specific technical implementations and security configurations.
• Troubleshoot certificate, DNS, identity, and integration issues across diverse technology stacks, coordinating with customers, engineering, and vendors.
• Create deployment runbooks, configuration guides, and PowerShell and Bash automation scripts while feeding field insights back to Product and Engineering.

Requirements

• Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance required; Counterintelligence polygraph preferred.
• 5+ years of experience as a deployment engineer or solutions engineer with customer-facing implementations and system integrations in government environments.
• Hands-on experience with containerization, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher, and Helm.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, Tanzu, or similar cloud infrastructure.
• Experience troubleshooting certificates and DNS across Kubernetes, Linux, and Windows environments.
• Comfort working in air-gapped environments and collaborating directly with customer and support teams.

Nice to have

• CI polygraph clearance.
• Familiarity with identity providers such as Keycloak and PingFederate.
