DevSecOps Engineer (AI)

Location: Reston, Virginia; must be local to the Washington, DC metro area. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance are required.

Salary: $155,000–$205,000 annual salary

What you will do

• Deploy, integrate, and operationalize the Kovr AI Platform for enterprise and federal customers.
• Design and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines and AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
• Administer and scale Kubernetes/EKS workloads with Helm and ArgoCD.
• Integrate GitHub, JIRA, Splunk, Snyk, and other DevOps tools into compliance and remediation workflows.
• Build observability strategies covering logging, metrics, alerting, and SLOs.
• Support continuous monitoring, evidence collection, control mapping, troubleshooting, documentation, and customer-facing technical discussions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering experience.
• Production experience architecting AWS infrastructure with Terraform at scale.
• Strong Kubernetes experience, including EKS or similar platforms, cluster design, Helm charts, and GitOps workflows.
• Experience with FedRAMP, CMMC, NIST 800-53/800-171, DoD SRG, OSCAL, or comparable compliance frameworks.
• Experience integrating SAST, DAST, or infrastructure-as-code security scanning into pipelines; proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting.
• U.S. citizenship, eligibility for a Top Secret clearance, and residence in the Washington, DC metro area are required.

Nice to have

• Security+, AWS Certified Security, CYSA+, CISSP, or other security and cloud certifications.
• Experience with LLM coding agents, MCPs, and DevOps automations.
• Prior Top Secret clearance and federal DevSecOps deployment experience.
