Collections Legal Operations Lead

What you will do

• Build and lead a high-performing legal operations team focused on collections through litigation, including small claims case filing.
• Manage external agencies involved in legal collections and ensure compliance, efficiency, and operational coordination.
• Identify clients for case filing, prepare and review court-required documents, and coordinate with internal teams, legal counsel, courts, and external partners.
• Ensure court payments are properly filed, documented, and executed.
• Develop data-driven strategies to improve legal collections success rates, address KPI gaps, and improve processes.
• Provide direction on strategic changes and support the performance and career development of internal and external teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• At least 5 years of experience in collections and/or litigation.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Knowledge of debt collections through litigation.
• Detail-oriented approach with project management and process improvement capabilities.
• Ability to make fact-based decisions under pressure and resolve performance issues.

Nice to have

• Project management experience.
• FinTech and BNPL experience.
• Licensed lawyer status.
