TL;DR
Manufacturing Engineering Expert (Steel Manufacturing and Supply Chain): Developing and industrializing steel manufacturing processes and supplier networks for solar tracker products with an accent on product qualification, supplier development, and production ramp-up. Focus on leading launches, troubleshooting equipment and manufacturing issues, driving root-cause corrections, and reducing supplier costs across Saudi manufacturing operations.
Location: Onsite at the Nextpower office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

What you will do
- Lead technical qualification and ramp-up activities supporting new product launches.
- Drive industrialization, continuous improvement, and supplier-network development for steel manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate product management, engineering, quality, project engineering, applications engineering, and vendors on schedules, deliverables, and costs.
- Identify manufacturing problems, lead root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions and improvements.
- Lead cost-reduction initiatives for assigned suppliers and monitor execution performance through regular supplier visits.
- Manage project meetings, status updates, stakeholder communication, and on-time delivery of projects and deliverables.
Requirements
- Experience with Saudi steel manufacturers, manufacturing processes, and applicable regulations.
- Experience in contract manufacturing or OEM manufacturing, including at least two years working with factories on process development, DFM, tooling readiness, and product launches.
- Experience with at least two of the following: stamping, drilling, laser cutting, tube bending, or welding.
- Advanced negotiation, communication, analytical, structuring, and executive-level presentation skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic required.
- Regular travel availability and the ability to work autonomously in an international, multicultural environment.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering.
- 8–10 years of experience in heavy-steel fabrication, including equipment installation and volume ramp-up.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
