Content Specialist (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote within the United States, with availability across U.S. time zones

What you will do

• Research, write, and publish blog posts on cybersecurity and AI security trends, emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry news.
• Produce in-depth whitepapers and long-form security research content for security practitioner audiences.
• Translate technical research, threat intelligence, CVEs, and product or engineering findings into accurate, engaging content.
• Partner with Product, Product Marketing, and Security/Research teams to source original insights and validate technical accuracy.
• Develop an editorial voice, maintain a publishing cadence, and create supporting formats such as executive summaries, social copy, and webinar content.
• Track content performance and collaborate with Design/Motion and external security researchers, analysts, and journalists to improve and amplify content.

Requirements

• Hands-on cybersecurity experience as a practitioner, analyst, researcher, or dedicated security content writer/editor.
• Published writing samples from a major cybersecurity vendor, research team, or publication are required for consideration.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, attack techniques, and defensive strategies.
• Working familiarity with AI security topics such as AI/ML threat models, prompt injection, model security, and AI governance.
• Excellent writing and editing skills across blog posts, whitepapers, and research reports, with the ability to translate technical source material accurately.
• Must be based in the United States and able to work remotely across U.S. time zones.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a security analyst, threat researcher, or security engineer.
• Ghostwriting experience for security executives, researchers, or founders.
• Relationships with security journalists, analysts, or researchers.
• SEO experience for technical or security content.
• Public speaking, podcast, or webinar hosting experience, or security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or GIAC.
