Security Architect (Cybersecurity)

Location: Milano, Italy; hybrid workplace

Gross annual salary: €50,000–€60,000, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Define, review, and evolve security architecture strategy in line with business needs, technology roadmaps, and regulatory expectations.
• Design and validate secure architectures for enterprise platforms, cloud services, applications, APIs, networks, infrastructure, and hybrid environments.
• Define security requirements, architectural standards, reference architectures, patterns, and security-by-design principles.
• Conduct security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments, identifying control gaps and mitigation strategies.
• Design and govern IAM, PAM, PKI, encryption, authentication, Zero Trust, network security, segregation, and tenant isolation controls.
• Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, Cloud, DevSecOps, Security Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams to strengthen the security posture.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Security Architecture, Cybersecurity Engineering, Information Security, or related disciplines.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise security architecture, cloud, infrastructure, network, application, and hybrid security.
• Experience with IAM, PAM, PKI, encryption, authentication protocols, Zero Trust, APIs, containers, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, and SBOM/SCA processes.
• Experience with threat modeling and security risk assessments, plus knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, DORA, NIS2, and operational resilience requirements.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for translating business and technical requirements into pragmatic security solutions.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, TOGAF, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or equivalent.
• Honors distinction for the relevant master’s degree.
