TL;DR
Solutions Engineer (UAS / Aviation): Integrating, validating, and preparing Auterion-powered drone systems for deployment with an accent on firmware configuration, sensor calibration, flight testing, and hardware-software integration. Focus on troubleshooting embedded systems, validating complete UAV platforms, and solving reliability challenges across flight controllers, communication protocols, sensors, and power systems.

hirify.global is building a software platform for AI-powered autonomous systems for enterprise and government customers.

What you will do

  • Integrate, validate, and prepare hirify.global-powered drone systems for operational deployment.
  • Flash and configure PX4 or other autopilot systems, including sensor calibration, ESC tuning, and system bring-up.
  • Perform end-of-line software validation, functional testing, payload and camera load-seat testing, and hands-on flight testing.
  • Troubleshoot issues across firmware, communication interfaces, sensors, flight controllers, power systems, and hardware-software interactions.
  • Develop validation workflows that improve product quality, manufacturing throughput, and deployment readiness.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineering, firmware/software, production, operations, QC engineering, vendors, and equipment providers.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Aviation Technology, Robotics, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; M.Sc. is optional.
  • Hands-on experience with autopilot, mission-planning, and navigation software, including firmware flashing, configuration, and flight validation.
  • Strong foundation in embedded systems, firmware debugging, and hardware-software integration.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and/or MAVLink or equivalent datalink protocols.
  • Experience with UAV sensor calibration, ESC tuning, flight controller configuration, flight testing, and system validation.
  • EU citizenship required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with drone manufacturing, QC processes, and end-of-line testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based development and debugging environments.
