Integration Engineer (Hardware/Embedded) (Drones and Embedded Systems): Designing and integrating drone hardware, embedded systems, and autonomy software with an accent on flight controllers, communication protocols, and real-time performance. Location: Kyiv, Ukraine; hybrid work with the ability to commute to the office when needed is essential

What you will do
- Design hardware architectures for drone systems, select components, and plan system-level integration.
- Develop and optimize embedded software for companion computers, microcontrollers, flight controllers, and other hardware.
- Build, test, and iterate hardware prototypes while evaluating performance, reliability, and environmental durability.
- Integrate embedded systems with higher-level autonomy software and ensure reliable communication between components.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams, hardware vendors, and suppliers on production, assembly, component selection, and quality control.
- Create technical specifications, integration guides, and hardware design documentation.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with embedded hardware, microcontrollers, and embedded operating systems.
- Experience with UAV technologies, flight controllers, autopilots such as ArduPilot or PX4, and communication protocols such as MAVLink.
- Strong knowledge of networking, Linux, shell scripting, Docker, Python, and SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Experience planning, executing, and documenting complex hardware-software integrations.
- Strong analytical and communication skills for resolving integration issues and explaining technical concepts.
- Familiarity with Raspberry Pi and flight controller platforms such as Matek and OrangeCube.
Nice to have
- Experience with Embedded Linux.
- Knowledge of C/C++, IoT communication protocols, and RF engineering.
