TL;DR
Frontend Software Engineer III (React): Building and evolving a scalable, high-performance core frontend platform for a financial services product with an accent on modular UI architecture, accessibility, and developer experience. Focus on designing reusable systems, optimizing application performance, integrating APIs and serverless services, and maintaining robust unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Location: Milan, Italy; hybrid with three days per week in-office (Tuesday, Thursday, and one additional day of choice)
Salary: €45,000–€53,000 gross per annum

What you will do
- Develop features for a scalable, performant core frontend platform and participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Apply frontend design patterns, coding standards, and best practices.
- Contribute to the technical vision and design modular, maintainable systems.
- Evaluate and select modern frontend technologies, frameworks, and tools.
- Own feature delivery, application performance, observability, and testing across frontend and Node.js applications.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience developing high-quality frontend web applications.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and state management libraries such as TanStack Query.
- Experience with component libraries, design systems, Storybook, Headless UI, Tailwind CSS, and UI/UX collaboration.
- Knowledge of Vite, Rollup, Nx or Turborepo, REST APIs, GraphQL, and WebSockets.
- Experience maintaining Node.js applications in production and working with unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Ability to optimize performance through lazy loading, code splitting, and caching.
Nice to have
- Experience with Next.js, TanStack Start, PostgreSQL, AWS Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, Vitest, React Testing Library, and Playwright.
- Experience with observability and logging tools such as Grafana, CloudWatch, Logstash, Sentry, or Kibana.
