What you will do
- Monitor autonomous vehicles from the driver seat throughout each operation and take manual control when required for safety.
- Communicate real-time vehicle status and safety updates to the Remote Operations Centre in English.
- Complete defined validation routes in Dubai with the Validation Trainer and engineering team.
- Log system events, interventions, anomalies, takeover details, and environmental observations using onboard and digital tools.
- Inspect vehicle sensors, lights, tyres, mirrors, equipment, and readiness before and after each shift.
- Participate in debriefs and escalate near-misses, unusual system behavior, and equipment faults.
Requirements
- Valid UAE driving license with a clean record and no major violations in the past three years.
- At least three years of active driving experience in the UAE or GCC, with strong familiarity with Dubai roads and traffic.
- Professional-level English for verbal communication, incident reports, and digital systems.
- Confidence using tablets, touchscreens, onboard software, fleet-management systems, and digital logging tools.
- Calm decision-making under pressure, high attention to detail, and accurate checklist and report completion.
- Secondary school certificate; willingness to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends according to the pilot schedule.
Nice to have
- RTA safety driver certification or experience with autonomous or ADAS vehicles.
- Technical diploma or qualification in automotive, engineering, or IT.
- Experience with fleet apps, delivery platforms, or other work-based digital tools.
