Cloud Operations Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the United States; candidates outside the domestic U.S. cannot be hired.

Salary: $135,000–$150,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure in GCP under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Improve infrastructure scalability, security, availability, and regulatory compliance.
• Build automation to reduce operational toil and support recovery from production incidents.
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and observability tools, including monitoring, logging, and tracing.
• Contribute to incident response, alerting, outage management, documentation, and operational metrics.
• Collaborate on infrastructure and workflow automation projects using tools such as cron jobs, n8n, and Airflow.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, preferably with GCP.
• Experience with at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, Bash, Java, or Go.
• Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to network and application security practices or teams.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 on-call rotation and current authorization to work in the USA without sponsorship or transfer.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git.
• Experience collaborating with Data Engineering teams.
• Exposure to Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
• Previous experience in a 24/7 on-call environment.
