Forward Deployed Engineering Manager (Robotics)

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of Solutions Engineers through customer engagements from discovery and site surveys to field deployment.
• Oversee technical strategies for applications deployed in non-standard environments, including hardware readiness, connectivity, and environmental constraints.
• Act as the lead architect for customer integrations across APIs, firmware, edge computing, and hardware-to-software interfaces.
• Translate enterprise customer requirements into deployment plans accounting for latency, power constraints, and data throughput.
• Partner with Product and R&D to communicate field-testing results and hardware compatibility issues.
• Work with senior company stakeholders, including the Director of Hardware, CTO, CEO, and VP of Engineering.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of technical experience, including 3+ years focused on hardware/software integration in areas such as IoT, robotics, industrial automation, or edge computing.
• At least 1 year managing a technical, customer-facing team such as Solutions Architects, Field Engineers, or Sales Engineers.
• Hands-on experience with field-deployed applications and troubleshooting critical failures under pressure with limited physical access to hardware.
• Understanding of cloud services, APIs, databases, and data flows from field systems to dashboards.
• EU citizenship and unrestricted eligibility to work in the European Union are required.
