TL;DR
Data Analyst (Fintech): Building financial analytics, reporting models, dashboards, and governed data assets for Finance and Growth & Marketing with an accent on P&L, cash flow, unit economics, and investor relations analytics. Focus on designing scalable financial data models and ETL pipelines, implementing AI-assisted anomaly detection, and translating complex analysis into executive-level recommendations.
Location: Milan, Italy; hybrid with three days per week in-office (Tuesday, Thursday, and one additional day of choice), with extra remote time available upon request.
Salary: €40,000–€50,000 gross per annum.

What you will do
- Develop P&L, cash flow, plan-versus-actual, and financial KPI analytics and reporting.
- Provide investor relations analytics and translate business performance into data-driven narratives.
- Partner with Finance, Marketing, Operations, Product, and senior leadership on business decisions.
- Build dashboards and self-service visualisation tools for financial insights.
- Develop analytics for monetisation, unit economics, LTV, payback period, cost structure, and revenue drivers.
- Design AI-assisted workflows for anomaly detection, budget deviation analysis, and budgeting and re-forecasting efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data-related roles, including at least 3 years in high-volume data environments.
- Strong experience with financial data modelling, P&L structures, cash flow analytics, and plan-versus-actual monitoring.
- Strong command of SQL, dbt, and Python.
- Experience designing data models, building ETL pipelines, and managing data transformation layers at scale.
- Ability to lead analytical initiatives and communicate clear, actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with acquisition, activation, retention, monetisation, ARPU, CAC, LTV, payback period, and fintech KPIs.
Nice to have
- Experience with Finance, FP&A, or Controlling functions.
- Knowledge of ERP data schemas, including SAP, and SAP Public Cloud.
- Experience with Git, Hex, Databricks, Jupyter, Looker, or similar tools.
- Experience using Claude and interacting with AI agents through APIs.
