Data Engineer/Analyst - Graduate Development Program (FinTech)

Location: Hybrid in Trento, Milan, or Pisa, Italy; candidates must be based in Italy or willing to relocate. Non-EU candidates must hold a valid EU work permit and full legal right to work in Italy.

What you will do

• Work with business and process owners to understand data sources, reconstruct their semantics, and assess their value.
• Perform exploratory data analysis and reverse engineering to build multidimensional BI models and single sources of truth.
• Automate data extraction, cleaning, transformation, enrichment, and standardization for central Data Hubs.
• Implement automated reporting through Power BI dashboards, programmatic PowerPoint generation, and custom web interfaces.
• Manage and maintain operational data pipelines end to end.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a STEM discipline, completed within the last year or currently in progress, with a strong academic record.
• Strong command of Python and SQL for data analysis.
• Fluent English at B2+ level and Italian required.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Full legal right to work in Italy required; non-EU candidates must hold a valid EU work permit.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of statistical concepts and time series analysis.
• Experience with Power BI, Databricks, Apache Spark, DBMS or NoSQL systems, Scala, PostgreSQL, or Elasticsearch.
