Field Application Engineer (Thermal & EMI Solutions)

Location: Marina Bay, Central Region, Singapore; the role may require extensive travel for on-site customer support within Southeast Asia.

What you will do

• Select, qualify, and support the application of thermal interface materials, EMI materials, absorbers, magnetics, and multifunctional solutions.
• Promote thermal and EMI solutions at customer sites and support projects with OEM, ODM, and contract manufacturing engineers.
• Coordinate internal resources and cross-regional teams to resolve engineering, design, and application challenges.
• Provide technical support for regional business development and customer projects.
• Support exhibitions and other marketing activities, while tracking project progress in Salesforce CRM.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in thermal management and/or EMC engineering.
• Experience with thermal interface material selection and qualification, including thermal pads, phase-change materials, thermal grease, and liquid gap fillers.
• Experience applying EMI materials such as fabric-over-foam gaskets, absorbers, magnetic shielding, conductive foils and tapes, precision metals, and board-level shields.
• Familiarity with ASTM, IEEE, MIL-STD, or similar test methods, plus clear technical communication and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work with Salesforce CRM and support customer-facing projects across Southeast Asia.

Nice to have

• Experience with material characterization, application dispensing, automatic assembly, or failure analysis.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling, thermal analysis, EMI simulation and testing, or finite element analysis.
• Experience in data centre, telecom, automotive, industrial, or medical markets.
