Electrical Design Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and integrate electrical and electro-mechanical systems for advanced semiconductor equipment.
• Define electrical architecture, power distribution, control systems, interfaces, and component specifications for new products and enhancements.
• Develop schematics, PCBA and interconnect designs, bills of materials, cable drawings, assembly procedures, and technical documentation.
• Support electrical integration, system bring-up, debugging, characterization, validation, and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, NPI, quality, suppliers, service, and field engineering teams on product delivery and sustainment.
• Develop verification plans and ensure compliance with SEMI, CE, UL, IEC, NFPA, and applicable international safety requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant industry experience in semiconductor equipment, automation, industrial systems, or capital equipment development.
• Experience with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control panels, power distribution, cable assemblies, and system integration.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, safety controllers, motion controllers, sensors, actuators, industrial communication networks, grounding, shielding, and EMC/EMI mitigation.
• Experience with validation testing, reliability testing, failure analysis, DFMEA/PFMEA, risk assessment, troubleshooting, and design for manufacturing and assembly.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills and proficiency with electrical design tools such as DraftSight, Zuken, or equivalent.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor equipment, automation systems, robotics, wafer handling systems, industrial machinery, or capital equipment.
• Knowledge of EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, or DeviceNet.
• Basic knowledge of AI and interest in applying AI-enabled tools to electrical design, diagnostics, data analysis, or engineering process improvement.
