Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Bengaluru, India; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in the office for candidates within reasonable commuting distance.

What you will do

• Own 3–4 end-to-end AI delivery cycles, from discovery and requirements through production deployment.
• Design multi-agent architectures, data flows, integrations, storage strategies, and observable production systems.
• Build and orchestrate intelligent agents using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, Google Workflows, or Temporal.
• Deploy agents on GCP platforms including Vertex AI, Cloud Run, and GKE, or equivalent AWS and Azure services.
• Develop enterprise governance features including audit trails, guardrails, access controls, HITL checkpoints, agent identity, registries, risk scoring, and anomaly detection.
• Build RAG pipelines and evaluation harnesses, fine-tune and prompt-engineer foundation models, and optimize inference cost and quality.

Requirements

• 5–6 years of software engineering experience, including at least 4 years focused on AI/ML systems.
• Delivery experience across 3–4 complete AI projects, covering requirements, design, implementation, testing, and production.
• Experience designing and deploying complex, production-grade systems at scale.
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks, LLM APIs, RAG, vector databases, and cloud AI platforms.
• Strong Python skills; experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability tools.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, mTLS, IAM policies, and secret management.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vertex AI Agent Builder or similar managed agent platforms.
• Contributions to open-source AI or agent frameworks.
• Knowledge of AI safety, responsible AI, ethics frameworks, or multimodal models.
• Published AI research, conference talks, or technical blog posts.
