What you will do
- Review use cases, plan and implement native Android features, identify test cases, review code, and support sprint releases.
- Lead the architecture and development of new and existing Android applications using clean, scalable, and maintainable patterns.
- Solve complex technical challenges involving Android OS internals, advanced concurrency, and secure inter-process communication.
- Design secure and scalable integrations with backend systems and optimize RESTful API usage.
- Drive performance engineering across memory efficiency, CPU usage, and battery life for enterprise applications.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in native Android application development and demonstrated technical leadership.
- Expert knowledge of Kotlin, Java, Android OS internals, Android Jetpack, multithreading, and asynchronous programming.
- Experience designing large-scale applications with MVVM or MVI and leading refactoring or modularization initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of the Android application lifecycle, services, Foreground Services, AIDL, and Content Providers.
- Experience with secure coding, data encryption, secure cloud communication, API design, testable code, and comprehensive unit testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience, plus strong troubleshooting and mentoring skills.
Nice to have
- Experience influencing full-stack architecture involving React, Node, Spring Boot, and databases.
- Experience with NFC, Bluetooth Low Energy, or other proximity-based technologies.
- Knowledge of Android Enterprise and applications for MDM or EMM environments.
- Experience integrating SSO solutions such as OAuth2 or SAML.
