Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Azure Platform)

What you will do

• Lead Azure platform architecture and operations across two existing environments, focusing on reliability, security, scalability, observability, cost management, and operational simplicity.
• Design and govern Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM templates, or equivalent tools, and build reusable deployment modules.
• Build secure CI/CD automation with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or comparable platforms.
• Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, incident response, root-cause analysis, and operational readiness.
• Manage Azure identity and security controls, including Key Vault, RBAC, managed identities, least-privilege access, and SOC 2 alignment.
• Document platform standards and runbooks, lead technical discussions, and mentor engineers so routine Azure operations can be shared within six months.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in SRE, cloud, platform, systems engineering, or DevOps roles.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience designing and operating Microsoft Azure environments.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking, compute, storage, identity, monitoring, Key Vault, and application platform services.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar technologies.
• Expertise in monitoring, incident response, root-cause analysis, reliability engineering, cloud security, RBAC, secrets management, and managed identities.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives, establish standards, document practices, and mentor engineers.

Nice to have

• AWS administration experience, including IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, and governance.
• Experience with Azure landing zones, Azure Policy, cost management, backup and recovery, or cloud governance.
• Azure or cloud/DevOps certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-400, or AZ-104.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust, identity governance, FinOps, and compliance-driven cloud operations.
