Senior Semiconductor Product Engineer

What you will do

• Oversee new chip product introduction, production ramp, yield sustaining, and improvement in foundries for the High Power Laser business.
• Drive yield improvement and product cost reduction from fabrication through final test after production ramp.
• Perform statistical data analysis, troubleshoot root causes of yield excursions, and correlate process and product parameters to improve product margins.
• Monitor foundry operations to meet quality and delivery goals, including engineering material disposition at wafer acceptance test.
• Support failure analysis for NPI, sustaining products, production, RMA, and field failures.
• Coordinate with R&D, Product Engineering, process integration, and contract manufacturing to close quality cases and respond to customers.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in electrical engineering, materials science, applied physics, or another relevant field.
• 0–3 years of hands-on experience in device design, wafer process, device assembly, and testing for optoelectronics or semiconductor devices.
• Deep understanding of semiconductor device processes and physics.
• Strong statistical data analysis skills and experience with tools such as JMP or Minitab.
• Familiarity with foundry operating models.
• Familiarity with semiconductor device failure analysis tools.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of III-V epitaxy design and growth.
• Experience with VCSEL or EEL devices.
