Senior Research Scientist (AI)

Location: New York City; on-site, in person at the office 4–5 days per week

Salary: $200,000–$320,000 per year, plus equity and additional rewards.

What you will do

• Identify open questions in tenant engagement, conversational AI, and LLM safety and turn them into research roadmaps.
• Design experiments, build prototypes, conduct large-scale evaluations, and drive projects through production launch.
• Develop predictive models and advance the company’s core machine learning models.
• Own end-to-end research initiatives and help shape the research agenda.
• Coach junior scientists, review code, and raise the technical bar across the team.
• Partner with engineering, product, and go-to-market teams to translate research into customer-facing features.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Mathematics, Theoretical Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Five years of post-Ph.D. experience in industry or academia.
• Strong foundation in machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and data modeling.
• Proven experience developing and implementing machine learning models, preferably in an academic or research setting.
• Programming proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages, with experience using machine learning libraries and frameworks.
• Ability and willingness to work in person at the New York City office 4–5 days per week.
