TL;DR
KYS Lead (Fintech): Leading and scaling the Know Your Supplier program in Mexico with an accent on risk-based case management, process improvement, and operational automation. Focus on resolving complex escalations, building performance metrics, evolving the risk matrix, and driving cross-functional improvements across Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering, and Operations.

What you will do

  • Lead the KYS process end-to-end and provide functional direction to the team.
  • Handle complex KYS cases and escalations using pragmatic, risk-based judgment.
  • Lead KYS discussions with internal stakeholders, senior leadership, and external partners.
  • Identify recurring issues and drive sustainable process, control, automation, and scalability improvements.
  • Monitor volumes, SLAs, backlog, turnaround times, escalation drivers, and capacity to identify bottlenecks.
  • Lead remediation, periodic reviews, risk-matrix improvements, guidance, training, and communications.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in KYC, KYB, vendor due diligence, third-party risk, supplier risk management, or similar processes.
  • Experience owning processes and implementing operational improvements beyond individual case execution.
  • Strong independent judgment and pragmatic risk-based decision-making in complex cases.
  • Experience simplifying, standardizing, automating, or scaling operational workflows.
  • Analytical and data-driven approach using metrics, volumes, SLAs, trends, and capacity data.
  • Professional fluency in English and Spanish is required; fintech, banking, financial services, or regulated-environment experience is preferred.
