Senior Software Engineer - Mobile/Android (m/f/d)

Location: Hybrid work model; office-first company. Work from another location is available for up to 60 days per year depending on the role.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Android applications for travel onboarding and post-booking experiences.
• Improve application performance, accessibility, battery usage, memory management, load times, and overall user experience.
• Collaborate with iOS, backend, and feature-based teams to deliver seamless cross-platform mobile journeys.
• Drive architecture improvements, codebase modernization, documentation, and technical process enhancements.
• Use analytics and metrics to optimize engagement, performance, and application health.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and best-practice development.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with strong Kotlin and Android expertise.
• Deep knowledge of Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Coroutines, Android architecture, SOLID principles, and software architecture patterns.
• Experience with unit, integration, and UI testing, including writing testable and maintainable code.
• Ability to contribute to technical strategy, code quality, performance, scalability, documentation, incident management, and release processes.
• Strong collaboration skills and a customer-centric approach when working with iOS, backend, and hybrid teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile or React Native.
• Experience with GraphQL, REST APIs, and backend service integration.
• UI/UX design experience or strong understanding of interface consistency and design principles.
