Senior GNC Engineer - Navigation & System Integration

What you will do

• Integrate, test, validate, and verify navigation instrumentation, GNSS, INS/IMU, localization, and sensor-fusion systems.
• Support navigation modeling and integration for high-fidelity aircraft simulation platforms.
• Conduct navigation-focused Monte Carlo, SITL, HITLS, regression, and test-coverage scenarios.
• Design and develop navigation, filtering, fusion, and blending algorithms for aircraft systems.
• Conduct flight testing and analyze navigation sensor data to validate and refine system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on system integration, requirements, specifications, safety, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, manufacturing, or a related engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or related engineering.
• Strong understanding of navigation, GNSS, INS/IMU systems, filtering, fusion, and navigation sensor suites.
• Experience with navigation sensor integration, sensor models, subsystem testing, and fusion or blending strategies.
• Proficiency in MATLAB and Python; familiarity with Julia and other modeling and simulation tools.
• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export control requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with KF, UKF, EKF, particle filters, autonomous flight systems, and aircraft autonomy.
• Experience with navigation sensor trade studies, selection, testing, and data analysis.
• Passion for aviation and advanced aircraft technology.
