Principal Development ICT Engineer (Data Centre)

Location: hirify.global HQ, North Sydney, Australia; occasional travel to hirify.global data centres across the APME region and site visits may be required.

What you will do

• Lead the design, delivery, and integration of ICT systems across new hyperscale data centre developments.
• Oversee consultants and general contractors through schematic design, issued-for-construction documentation, installation, and handover.
• Coordinate with technology teams, project integrators, peer reviewers, commissioning teams, suppliers, and consultants to resolve design and delivery issues.
• Support configuration, startup, commissioning, factory acceptance testing, proof-of-concept testing, and operational handover of ICT services.
• Build governance into ICT design processes and ensure compliance with hirify.global standards, enterprise requirements, and regulations.
• Provide technical input to procurement, RFPs, contract negotiations, risk reviews, and troubleshooting of complex ICT integrations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in ICT engineering, including 5+ years in senior or lead engineering or ICT architecture roles.
• Experience delivering large-scale ICT programs and enterprise systems; data centre experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and present data centre designs to customers, peers, and management.
• Adaptability in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with willingness to make decisions and take accountability.
