Sr. Data Flow Engineer (SQL)

What you will do

• Import and validate file deliveries for new clients and ensure dependable consumption of external portfolio data.
• Establish data connections through external APIs and FTP, then normalize datasets into the standardized Clearwater format.
• Monitor and report on daily processes, automate recurring tasks, and resolve errors with scripts.
• Analyze existing feeds and implement improvements to auto-reconciliation and normalization logic.
• Deliver improvements requested by Operations and Development, including tooling migrations and data acquisition projects.
• Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, document best practices, and support mentoring and light on-call work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Information Systems, or a relevant field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with securities, accounting, and financial data.
• Strong understanding of SQL and relational database principles.
• Experience with a scripting language such as Groovy, Perl, or Python.
• Experience with industry-standard data transmission protocols, strong documentation, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
