Senior Storage Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY

Salary: $100,000–$300,000 annually, with potential variable compensation, equity, and benefits.

hirify.global is an applied AI lab building AI agents for cybersecurity and assessing enterprise data to prevent critical breaches.

What you will do

• Own storage infrastructure across relational, streaming, and analytical data stores.
• Standardize backup, restore, retention, and encryption policies for Aurora/RDS, ClickHouse, and MSK.
• Build observability dashboards for capacity, performance, replication lag, and cost.
• Create a Storage Operations Agent for incident triage, slow-query investigation, and remediation workflows.

Requirements

• Deep experience with Aurora/RDS, ClickHouse, Kafka/AWS MSK, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with table formats and lakehouse patterns, including Iceberg.
• Strong Python and Go programming skills.
• Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform.
• 3–6 years at a successful technology company and 1–2 years at a data-focused startup.
• Experience with S3, GCS, BigQuery, Athena, Presto, Parquet, vector stores, and graph stores.

Nice to have

• Additional experience in observability infrastructure.
